    Common error code and solution for Canon V

    Error Code Reason Solution
    1007 Printer out of paper. Add paper to the paper tray, then touch OK button to print.
    1300 Paper jam. Follow the instructions showed on the printer screen.
    1200 Replacing ink cartridge. Close the top cover after replacing the ink cartridge.
    B504 Printer error (e.g. new chip installed on an empty cartridge) Replace with a new ink cartridge (at least required the ink volume can clean the print head).
    5501 Printer error (e.g. chips installed on inappropriate printers) Replace with correct chips and cartridges.
    1660 The following ink tank cannot be recognized (short-circuit). Reinstall the chip after cleaning it up.
    1755 The ink has run out (useful life is over). Replace with a new ink cartridge.
    1688 The ink has run out (ink continues to print under ink out condition. Press STOP for five seconds to continue printing or open and close the cover to replace the ink cartridge.
    6502 Printer error (caused by short circuit). Please try turning the printer on and off again.
    5102 Printer error (ink cartridge installation problem. During cartridge authentication, the loosened cartridge causes the ink cartridge to pop up and the cartridge unit stuck, which makes the printer to issue a system error). Power off first and then manually push the carriage unit to reinstall the ink cartridge.
    5500 Printer error (chip is installed on an inappropriate printer). Install the correct ink cartridge (correct area).
    1754 The ink cartridge is not installed correctly. Open and close the cover to reinstall the ink cartridge.
    Install the appropriate ink cartridge The same color chip is repeatedly installed or poor contact. Replace with a correct ink cartridge.
